A quiet session for the two of you.
A maternity session is slower than a wedding, and it should be. We find a time of day with soft, warm light, usually late afternoon, and a place that feels like you: your home, a garden or somewhere that matters to you. Then we take our time.
We guide you gently so you never feel posed, and we look for the details that tell the story of this moment: hands on the bump, the tiny shoes you have already bought, a partner's arms around you. Many of our clients prefer quiet, detail-led frames, and some prefer no faces at all. Tell us what you are comfortable with and we'll shape the session around it.

What to expect.
Most clients book their maternity session in the third trimester, when the bump shows clearly but you still feel comfortable. We'll talk through outfits, fabrics and location beforehand, and keep the session relaxed with plenty of breaks.
Your photographs are delivered in a private online gallery. If you would like your newborn's first weeks photographed too, we can plan both together, so the story continues from the bump to the baby.

When is the best time for a maternity shoot?
Usually the third trimester, often between 28 and 36 weeks, when the bump shows and you still feel comfortable. We'll fit the date around you.
Can the photographs be private, or without faces?
Yes. Many clients prefer detail-led, faceless frames, and we're happy to plan the whole session that way. Your gallery is private.
Where can the session take place?
At your home, in a garden or at a location that means something to you, in Colombo, Kandy or elsewhere in Sri Lanka.
Can we book a newborn session too?
Yes. Many clients book maternity and newborn sessions together so the story continues from the bump to the baby.
